Internet service is essential for modern life. But internet service is also expensive, especially for families who are struggling to pay bills.
That's why so many families rely on the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) to stay connected. The ACP provides eligible families with a $30 discount toward their monthly internet bill and a $100 discount towards a device, such as a laptop or a tablet. The ACP has been a major success. In just two years, it’s connected more than 20 million households to the internet.
But unless Congress acts, the program will run out of funding next year. Families will lose service, and many children will be forced to go back to doing homework in fast-food parking lots or wherever they can find WiFi outside of their homes.
That's why we're asking you to call your U.S. Senators at (800) 397-2937 to urge them to continue funding the ACP. This number will patch you through to your Senators’ offices directly. When you call, be sure to tell them your name, where you live and that you are calling to urge the Senator to continue funding the Affordable Connectivity Program. It’s that easy!
Thank you for taking action on this important issue!
